I love to see the temple!

I was excited to get to take the kids to the Oquirrh Mountain temple open house while we were in Utah. It was also great that Sarah-beth was able to come with us! It is a beatiful temple (of course,) and is about a 2 minute drive from Steve and Gina's house. Ammon was especially excited to see the inside of the temple, as he has often been curious about it. BJ was running all over like a maniac so I can't say it was the most peaceful experience, but I did enjoy it. My mom, Mike and Cassie and fam, plus Gina and kids were there as well. (didn't get pictures of Gina.)

Amazing that there are 2 temples in South Jordon now!

More Utah Pics

Fudgesicles are yummy...

Bo and BJ in the bath:
Aren't they sweet?

Sissy wanted her hair just like her cousins. A bit hard when she's missing about a foot of length and half the thickness. But we tried.
The Kennecot copper mines.

The kids at the "beach."

Ammon's gotten brave! He's actually jumping off the dock!

We got to celebrate the big 4-0 with my brother bill.
Have a little cake!

4th of July continued

John put on a pretty good firework show for us.
I thought the kids would like the sparklers, but some of the kids just didn't like them.

Sissy and BJ slept through all the fireworks. Ammon liked the sparklers, but he was having issues with the noises of nearby fireworks. He's trying really hard to still enjoy the sparkler while plugging his ears.
Grandpa got a bit sleepy...
The kids played in the pool for a while. There were a whole bunch of them packed in that tiny pool, but BJ was the last one left after everyone else got tired of it. In the end I had to drag him kicking and screaming to get dressed.
Hyrum-- what a cutie!

Beautiful baby Dessa May!

4th of July

I missed Russ on the 4th, but it was also very good to be with family. We had a great time at family friend Donna's home in Heber. Most of our entertainment consisted of arm wrestling, leg wrestling, stick pulling, and jousting. We made it through without any serious injuries, and only one hole in the wall. :) Some of the kids were plum tuckered out after dinner...

Trip to Utah in July

I know it's August--I'm still trying to catch up. My friend Kim was nice enough to suffer through 13+ hours in the car with my kids (and her kid) so that I wouldn't have to drive by myself. Despite a lot of screaming and puking, the trip was pretty good. Here are some highlights of the drive down. We made a quick stop at Multnomah Falls. The sunset is somewhere in the middle of Idaho.
